Shantytown's newest attraction is the Princess Theatre. A holographic film show that tells tales of real West Coast characters.

The current shows tells the story of Thomas Broham the West Coast's first police officer. He suffered serious trials and tribulations, not least the lack of decent men to assist him. Woven through this story is the murder of George Dobson (brother of the more famous Arthur, after whom Arthur's Pass - the main route from the West Coast to the East - was named) He was murdered by the Burgess Kelly Gang while checking a walking track between The Grey and Arnold Rivers
