The services of the Education Centre are free for all New Zealand schools.
Students from outside the West Coast area are charged an entry fee to Shantytown of $7:50 which includes a steam train ride and gold panning. Accompanying adults gain free entry to Shantytown.
Catering
You are welcome to bring your own food on your visit here but we do offer a range of meals for students and would be happy to cater for your group.
