This photo of what appears to be a family of sharp-shooters was taken in Invercargill by Dimond and Hart probably in the 1890s.
The photo was ordered by Mr C. Nicholson of Koiterangi (now Kowhitirangi), Hokitika and presumably the Nicholsons had competed in a competition in Southland. The uniform worn by Mr Nicholson was described by the photographer thus; red tunic, white braid, navy pants, red stripe, navy helmet, brass badge.
- Was this the uniform of the Westland Rifles?
- Can anybody tell us more about the people in this photograph?

This photo of Mavis was taken by James Ring, Greymouth. On the back of another photo of Mavis and another girl is written 'To dear Auntie Lou and Uncle Jack, from Mavis and Dorothy.'
- Can anybody tell us who Mavis is and what family she belonged to?

This photo of Kumara Hospital staff was taken in about 1910. Back row (left to right): Mary Anderson (later Mrs Ramsey Reid, OBE), Minnie Morreto (probably Veronica Lucia Martha Marotti), unknown. Front: Matron Stewart and Dr Charlie Morkane.
- Can you tell us anything more about the people in this photograph?

This photograph of Elizabeth Norah Harris (Lily) was taken when she was 6 years and 7 months old. It was taken in Hokitika by Tait Brothers probably between 1865 and 1875. In the same album are photographs of George Hastings Harris (aged 1 year and seven months) and Catherine Annie Harris (4 years and 11 months).
- Can you tell us anything more about the Harris family?

This photograph, presumably taken in Greymouth, has the following written on the back: 'Policeman, Harry Kyle, Jack Hamilton, Harry Hamilton.'
- Can anybody tell us anymore about any of the men in this photograph?

This gentleman was photograph by MacLeod (possibly in Dunedin) at about the turn of the century. On the back of the photograph are the names Mrs Bernard Smith and E. W. Bostock.
- Can anybody tell us who this man is?
