Shantytown is located on Rutherglen Road, Paroa (suburb), just 10Km south of Greymouth, on the West Coast of the South Island. Greymouth is the largest town on the West Coast and it serves as the hub of the Grey District.  It is a great place to base yourself for a few days to visit all of the wonderful scenic attractions in the region. The area is surrounded by magnificent Rain Forest and several National Parks. It is within easy reach of the Southern Alps and Glaciers.
